Stone Forest's foray into education started in the early 1990s when we provided management training to several groups of Chinese executives from various industries. Whilst the Chinese were learning from Singapore, the slow but steady rise of China's influence also resulted in a local demand to get to know China better. Being sensitive to market needs, Stone Forest tied up with Nanjing University in 1993 to facilitate the process. Established in 1902, Nanjing University is one of the leading universities in China.

 

The University's Master of Business Administration was launched in Singapore in 1994. This was followed by the Master of Arts (Chinese Language and Literature) in 1998 and translation courses in 2002 . These collaboration are with the respective specialist schools - International Business School, School of Chinese Studies and the English Department of the School of Foreign Studies.

 

More than 300 people have been on Nanjing's distance-learning programmes since we started, and the graduates have also set up the Nanjing University Alumni Assocation for both the graduate and student bodies of both countries to keep in touch.

We offer training in the areas of Microsoft Excel For Business, Sage 300 ERP and report formatting using Crystal Report Writer. Our training calendar and training contents are customisable to meet clients’ unique business requirements.

 

Our training centre is popular with companies who send their new staff to be trained in Sage 300 ERP without the hassle of on-the-job training. The centre’s other drawing point is the course curriculae and training, which are developed and taught entirely by practitioners. Relevance and an intimate understanding of operational needs is hence ensured.
