(L-R) Chio Kian Huat and Kaka Singh with Mr Han Fook Kwang, The Straits Times Editor representing the SPMF

We moved our office from Cross Street to Wilkie Edge in the colourful Arts Hub amidst the grey economic gloom that greeted 2009. A fund-raising drive titled 'Colour Lives' was initiated in conjunction with our new office opening, which was graced by more than 500 guests on 10 February. We are indeed grateful to all our clients and business associates who turned up, and to those who supported our charity drive to donate money to the School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) in lieu of congratulatory bouquets. With CLSF matching dollar for dollar, a total of $103,838 was raised which we hope helped colour the lives of beneficiaries under the SPMF.

:. Hello 2010 Calendars

Calendar 2010

With a brighter economic outlook in the horizon, we have chosen to greet 2010 with more cheer and colours in our 2010 calendars, simply themed "Hello". Started 7 years ago as our way of thanking clients and business associates for their support, the limited edition and functional calendars featuring 'good days for business' have been perennial favourites of our clients for years. Clients who need more may request from the CLSF personnel who serve you, subject to stock availability.

:. World Tax 2010 Ranking

The tax division of Chio Lim Stone Forest (CLSF) has again made it to the ranking of the leading tax firms in Singapore in "World Tax 2010", a Euromoney guide to the world's leading tax firms. A total of 11 firms are ranked and CLSF is the only accounting firm outside the Big 4 in Singapore in the list, the rest being the Big 4 and leading law firms.

The ranking was done by the editorial team at the International Tax Review, based on extensive surveys with corporate tax directors and advisers. Firms are not allowed to be recommended by their own advisers or pay to be included in the listing. Find out more >>

:. RSM China

RSM China Visit 2009

RSM Chio Lim hosted our counterparts from RSM China for a week in October in the latter's debut Leaders' Meeting outside China. The team comprising leaders of the various offices across China was led by its senior leadership from the Beijing headquarters. The team's mission was to learn about the structure and businesses of the Singapore's office, in response to China's call for its enterprises to internationalise. The leaders also held exchages with officials from International Enterprise Singapore, the Economic Development Board, ACRA and the SGX.

RSM China is one of the newest member to the RSM network. It is the largest CPA group outside the Big 4 in China, with more than 3000 staff in 18 offices across China, and counts in its clientele some of China's leading state-owned enterprises.

It was a good opportunity for the 2 offices to cement ties and develop a mutual platform to better serve RSM Chio Lim's clients in China and vice versa.
