Dick is from the Netherlands and joined the international tax department of Arthur Andersen in Amsterdam, which was subsequently assumed in 2002 by Deloitte & Touche. During this period, he built his career as a tax manager, mostly in the telecoms, technology and media sector, travelling on a regular basis to the United States for meeting with prospects and clients.
He relocated to Deloitte in Moscow to assist in building the international tax practice throughout the Commonwealth of Independent States at the beginning of 2005.
In September 2007, Dick joined KPMG for a regional role in building the Tax Efficient Supply Chain Practice (“TESCM”) within Asia, spearheading the development of this practice out of the Centre of Excellence in Hong Kong. During this time, he worked closely with the different tax and advisory practices in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Singapore.
Dick joined RSM Chio Lim in December 2009 to build the tax advisory practice. He advises businesses to use Singapore as the stepping stone for investments in and outside Asia, in view of the country’s Singapore tax system and its well organised incentives’ programs. |
