Audit & Accounting Challenge 2011

RSM Chio Lim collaborated with the NBS Auditing and Assurance Team for the second nationwide Accounting & Auditing Challenge. This prestigious competition involved approximately 340 participants from tertiary institutions formed up into 85 teams. Prizes up to $6500 were given out by main sponsor RSM Chio Lim and besides the participants, industry leaders from the accounting & auditing profession joined the students as judges and to lend their support to the challenge.

Guest speaker Mr. Kaka Singh, Chairman of RSM Chio Lim, shared words of wisdom and advice on doing the right things; and how it pays off both personally and professionally when accountants never forget the importance of moral integrity in the important role they play to businesses and industries in their daily work.

Fellow speaker Mr. Ang Miah Khiang, Director of Corporate Advisory at RSM Chio Lim, shared his experience working in the industry and emphasized to the students the importance of finding out what they want in their careers and never being afraid to gun towards their goals. He stressed that they should never let the conventional definition of "a successful career" - salary and status, define them.
